Beneath - a poem by Dayo Skills.

                          ⤵️️ Beneath ⤵️

My Shadow Was Not Even Proud Of Me,
Sometimes It Fails To Darken Out From Beneath My Feet,
How Do I Ride On People Beneath My Feet,
How Did I Treat My Own Family As Worthless But Treat Harlots As Superstars When I'm Actually Beneath Their Feet,

I Resumed Duty From Last Night This Morning To Walk In Vanity And Think The Whole World Is Beneath My Feet,
I Spend Like I'm The Richest From What's From My Employer's Feet,

Maybe I'm An Elite,
Maybe I Think I'm Complete,
Maybe I Never Thought That The Praises And Sycophancies Were Deceit,
Maybe My Addictions Were Sweet,
Maybe I Am The Shit,

So The Sunshine Turn Sunset Taught Me A Lesson,
So The Daylight Turn Nighttime Came With Less Blessing,
The Good Wealth In Health Went Off And Made Me A Feeble Vegetable Person,

That's When It Dawned On Me,
That's When This Lofty Me...
Had People From My Long And Short Past...,
People From My Previous Beneath,
People From My List Of Nobodies,
They...They Were The One Helping Me Move,
They Were The One Wiping Away My Sorrowful Tears,

So I Cursed My Feet,
I Cursed My Mind,
I Cursed My Eyes,
I Cursed My Addictions To Have Kept Them At The Beneath All Along,

They Surprised Me Again By Casting Away The Curses As I Tried To End This Miserable Me,
They Rescued Me From Pulling The Plug By Delivering And Blessing Me,

Then I Knew Late That Beneath Is A Sure Place To Always Reach If We Must Always Stay Rich.
I Can't Stop This Tears.
